Sharing all my thoughts and my review on Cooldown Running Apparel

Let’s chat about a brand that’s been catching my eye lately – Cooldown. If you haven’t heard of them yet, Cooldown is a small business based out of Denver, CO, and is both running apparel and a run club in major cities across the U.S. Let’s dive into my experience with their clothes and see if they live up to the hype!

Full transparency — they have sent me clothes, as well as given me an affiliate code to share, but this blog post is completely my own opinion and thoughts.

Testing the Cooldown Running Gear

I have been wearing the Mikelle bra and Alkal shorts almost religiously since getting them a little over a month ago. You all know I love a bright colored outfit, so obviously I love that there’s such a wide range of gorgeous & bright colors! Here’s a quick rundown of what stood out to me in the Cooldown apparel:

1. Soft Fabrics: Their clothing is made from high-quality materials that are sweat-wicking and keep you comfortable mile after mile. The fabrics feel great against the skin and provide just the right amount of stretch. I’m currently in between sizes, so I went with my larger size and think they fit perfectly!

2. Fit and Functionality: The gear is designed by a runner with runners in mind. The tops and shorts I tried fit like a dream – no chafing, no riding up. I will say — the split short style is not for everyone. I’ve worn split shorts before (my review of the Nike Aeroswift shorts here!) and find they work really well for me, but also I know there are people where they constantly ride up and don’t work! I think this style really depends on preference + body.

It’s also important to note the great functionality! The bra has a compartment for an iPhone and I’ve found it works really well. Additionally, there’s a small zipper compartment on the back of the shorts, which is perfect for holding keys or a gel.

    3. Style: Cooldown nails it with their designs. Like I mentioned, they offer a range of colors and I feel like they’ve chosen a limited style selection so they could really perfect what they do.

Overall, I have really loved the clothes I have from Cooldown and wear them very regularly. The gear performs well, looks great, and so far, stands up to the demands of serious runners. Whether you’re training for a race or just hitting the trails for fun, I definitely recommend checking out Cooldown!
